Best reader for Dynamic RFID tag?

I’m using the Sparkfun QWIIC Dynamic RFID tag, and I’ve had success reading it using the scanner in my phone (Pixel 6). The application I’m building would need a standalone reader that can read the dynamic tag. Has anyone had experience finding a separate reader that works with this tag?

It’s my understanding this tag is ISO 15693 / NFC Type 5 at 13.56 MHz. I purchased a cheap reader off Amazon (probably my first mistake) claiming to be in the same frequency band / standard compliant, and am having no luck recognizing from either end.

Scroll down a bit (‘similar items’) on the tag page to see reader options that we sell

I’ve also had access to the Simultaneous RFID Tag reader, which I thought might be useful. I was able to hook it up and get it to respond, but not having any luck getting a successful scan.

The Simultaneous RFID tag reader states it’s a UHF reader, which communicates on ISO 18000-6C, 860 MHz to 960 MHz band, while the Dynamic tag operates on the 13.56MHz band, so I wouldn’t expect these readers to be compatible.

Is there another 13.56MHz reader than I missed in the Sparkfun catalog (or am misunderstanding the frequency bands)?
