Board Outlines with Orcad Gerbers

DRC hates me.

I have a board with ground plane floods, top and bottom, pulled back 10mils from the board edge.

Orcad Capture takes my global board outline and puts it on the gerbers for the top and bottom layers. No way to opt out, so far as I can tell.

If I make the board outline 1mil wide, DRC complains that the board outline is a trace that is too narrow (expected from the FAQ).

If I make the board outline 8mils wide, DRC complains that the board outline is too close to the ground plane flood.

I really don’t want to arbitrarily pull the ground plane flood farther back from the edge unless necessary.

Any workaround, aside from begging support to approve?

Thanks…

Send an email to Support@batchpcb.com with the design # and I will check out the design and manually pass it.

While Patrick offers a good solution, I wonder what would happen if you set the outline width to zero. I have seen people suggest this. I don’t know how this would work out between Orcad and the DRC. I did not try this myself.
