Does anyone have or know where to find a .STEP file (or similar 3D CAD file) for the DE9 Male Breakout board? I am making my PCB in Fusion360 and would love a board that I could upload to there so I can double-check my spacing and make it look nicer. Thank you!!
You can just go to the product page and open the provided KiCAD files and export the pcb as STEP/STL/other
DE9.zip (10.4 KB)
You can get it from the official product’s page as mentioned by Russell
Another option is to use the CAD model for the DE9 connector itself and then recreate the breakout PCB from the published dimensions. Something like this: Dsub 9 pin breakout pcb DE9 - Share Project - PCBWay For spacing verification, the connector geometry is usually the most critical part.
If your main goal is mechanical fit rather than an exact replica, measuring the board outline and mounting locations from the product documentation may be sufficient.
