First of all i am a beginner arduino world, sorry for that.
I’m a student and working on a rfid based warehouse management system project with arduino uno. I have to detect goods least 1m distance but cant decide which reader suitable for me. After long searchs found this http://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/1 … 2.html?s=p but I’m not sure i can connect this with arduino uno or not. If someone, already done this kind of a project, could help me. I’m so confused.

W/o saying that the reader will work at 1 m (I just don’t know) I can say I’m reasonably sure you can get data from it to the Uno. The specs given say ;
Output Format: Wiegand 26/34,RS485/232
The latter 2 would not tie directly to the Uno, as their voltages are wrong, but there are shields for those if you wanted to go that route. The 1’st format appears to be directly compatible, albeit with some coding on your part to make it happen. Hopefully the reader comes with enough info to do that task.
Standard Wiegand is 26 BIT; some are proprietary . My company licensed 33 bits. I no longer manufacture Access Control but still have the original swipe cards with Wiegand Wire embedded.
You need to try a Cypress Computer Wiegand 485 extender
