updated drivers indicated, still no discovery, next night plugged in to different port, found it, enabled micro python auto run, now no discovery cant find it to disable auto run, newbie, thanks!
I haven’t used a cellular XBee but XCTU has some recovery utilities that have got my Zigbee versions going a time or two.
^As he said; try Digi XBee Studio | Digi International
last night used xctu recovery with no results, just ran the xbee studio recovery, appears to go through process but still no discovery, in details says no active bootloader in device, then goes through steps and uploads firmware, then tells me to reset several times then no discovery, update fail, couple nights ago after many attempts with no discovery, switched ports and was found, since then no discovery, many attempts! thanks! plugging a non cellular xbee into same explorer board and works perfectly, same with xbee thing plus. power, asc, chg leds all fast blinking, when uplaoding firmware no blinks just power led, about 65% through waiting for module reset they all start blinking again, insufficient power? working on a recently purchased sparkfun cellular kit
insufficient power?
I hope so, it’s about all I can think of, short of a defective device.
I’ve used the SFE XBee USB (USB-Mini) and serial (DB9) Explorers, not the dev board that comes with the cell kit but they’re always been great performers. I’d try a power supply on the high side of the the 3.3-5.5VDC input range and with plenty of power behind it.
