DataLogger IoT CSV output not working

Hi All

I recently purchased a Sparkfun Datalogger IoT board Store page, a few thermal sensors TMP1117, and an SD card SKU: COM-14832. I was able to connect over the serial terminal to configure the sensors and data logger. I also updated the firmware to version 1.1.01 from the github page through the sd card. However, when I remove the SD card to get the CSV files it is not recorded properly. It is unreadable and I cannot figure out how to correct this. Is there a configuration setting I am missing? The SD card is properly formatted to fat32 as instructed by the Hookup guide.

Notepad is the wrong tool for the job.
