I’ve purchase 10 Alchitry Cu boards these last few weeks. Three won’t enumerate as a device on any computer. Out of the box a healthy Cu displays a LED chase pattern. Two of these three boards don’t light up any LEDs. Even the “done” LED near the power supply only lights up for an instant.
The third board is one that I did actually use. It is running the last design uploaded to the device, but it no longer enumerates, and can’t be flashed. Since I’ve actually used this third device I’m prepared to believe that perhaps I’ve done something and ruined a pin. Maybe I took the raw 5V out and fed it as input to an I/O. I don’t think so, but it’s possible. But the other two have only been take out of the box and connected to a PC.
I tried starting a return last week, but there has been no response so far. I’ll be away from home for two weeks starting Friday, so now I’m afraid we may not be able to get a return started within Sparkfun’s allowed window. I’ve ordered additional devices with next day shipping to cover my needs but I wanted to get the ball rolling on the two defective boards.
