EP9032 SDRAM and FLASH question

Hello friends,

Few dumb questions about EP9032 memory… trying to build myself a small board.

Most of dev. boards manufacturers are using 256 Mbit SDRAM as one chip (4 MB x 4 banks x 16 bits) like K4S561632E.

I’d like to know if I can use 4 chips of 64 Mbits in parallel (which it happens to have), then using all four SDCSx signals that EP9032 can provide.

For serial FLASH, Cirrus used SST25LF040 which is 4 Mbit (AT25F1024 - 1 Mbit). I found some serial FLASH to buy of 4 Mbit like A25L40P by AMIC (pin to pin compatible) but when I checked opcodes (ERASE, WRITE, etc.) are slightlly diffrenet than originally SST25LF040. Can someone explain a little if will work?

For parallel flash, they used 128 Mbit (8M x 16 bits) chip by Intel like JS28F128J3D. I have few chips smaller as size like AM29LV320 which is 2M x 16 bits. Can I use’it as first test?

Thanks in advance for any clarifications,
