Facet - can't connect in WIFI config mode - updated to v2.2

I’m having problems with my facet, I cannot connect to the WIFI configuration setup page. The 've updated to v2.2 from 1.1. I can connect to “RTK Config” network, and I can ping 192.168.4.1, but when I open a browser I cannot connect to the config page (192.168.4.1). I also tried to ping 192.168.1.1, but I did not get an answer. I’m looking for suggestions. Thanks - Seth

Are you connecting via a cell phone or desktop? Cell phones often ignore a WiFi AP that doesn’t have internet:

If you still have problems turn off Mobile Data so that the phone does not default to cellular for internet connectivity and instead connects to the RTK Device.

I’ve tried connecting to the config page (192.168.4.1) from my phone and my computer. No luck. I also noticed the unit is only collecting L1 data. There is no L2 being collected so I can not run anything through [OPUS. Can I send this in and have it looked at? I got this unit in mid-April. Thanks for any help.

Hi Seth - Absolutely, I’d be happy to take a look at it. https://www.sparkfun.com/returns will get you an RMA and I’ll let you know when I see it.

I’ve got your unit and am able to connect to WiFi and configure the unit via a Pixel 4a and a Moto G9 cell phone, and laptop computer. What model cell phone are you using?

The unit is correctly receiving L1 and L2 signals. Forgive the lack of satellites, it’s tricky getting Facet reception indoors.

This is great news! I really appreciate you checking the unit and verifying it is functioning correctly. I am using a Moto G5 and my laptop is Ubuntu 20.04.4 LTS to try to connect to the Facet. I’m excited to put it back. I’ll share the settings I used to get the WIFI configuration to work. Thanks again. GREAT customer service.

You should have the unit delivered shortly. Please let us know if you have any other issues.
