My laptop does not “see” the Artemis RedBoard ATP SparkFun RedBoard Artemis ATP - SparkFun Electronics , please see the photo attached. I checked the new USB-C connector by connecting my Samsung Galaxy phone. The connector is good. Could you please help to solve the issue?
By the way, I installed all the necessary libraries and definitions for the microcontroller board. Though they do not affect the laptop ability to “see” the microcontroller board. Maybe something wrong with this particular board? Thank you.
It also looks like it’s being double-powered in the photo, try disconnecting the barrel jack and only hook up the usb for programming and see if a COM port pops up
Thank you, TS-Russell and YellowDog. I have the SparkFun RedBoard Plus microcontroller board at home. The same story is with the RedBoard Plus, even though it is not double-powered, please see the photo attached. My laptop says that all the necessary drivers have been already installed. What could be that issue then? Thank you.
Hi YellowDog. There is not a device icon in the laptop directory “Devices and drives”, please see the photo attached. The laptop does not “see” the SparkFun RedBoard Plus. I do not know how to solve this issue. Could you please help? Thank you.
It won’t get an icon either but it will get a COM port. From your earlier pictures it looks like it’s COM3. If you go to device manager under serial and parallel ports you should see it there while plugged in and the port should dissappear when you unplug it.
Once you have the hardware working you will need to get arduino setup. The link below should get you going.
