Gator:log with gator:soil

Hello. I am working with a group of 9-10 year olds and they are designing experiments using the gator:science boards as their data collection equipment.

For using the gator:soil with the gator:log, how would the connections work? We figured out how to chain the gator:log along with the other sensors, but since the gator:soil only has PWR, GND, and SIG, it does not seem to translate directly.

Do we connect the gator:log to the gator:bit directly? i.e. in parallel to gator:soil as opposed to chained with gator:soil?

Correct, the Gator:Log is based on Serial communication and the Gator:Soil is an analog signal. I would suggest reading the analog signal with the Gator:Bit and transmit to the Gator:Log through Serial.
