I’ve bought a number of CEL-00477 RS232/GM862 Eval boards over the past few months.
The board supplies 3.8 Volts to the Telit GM862 and is also supposed to supply 2.8 Volts MAX to the RS232 interface.
The CEL-00477’s schematic shows the second regulator (no part number listed) as 3.3V but it is connected to a line labeled 2.8V.
I’ve measured the voltage out of that regulator and it is 3.3 Volts (the part is labeled KB33).
The Telit Hardware Reference User Guide recommends 2.8 Volts with a MAXIMUM of 3.3 Volts applied to the input pins.
Should the CEL-00477 be populated with a 2.8 Volt regulator ???
Also, please update the schematic with the correct part number, in case we want to mod our boards with a 2.8 Volt part.
Thanks DennisB
