Hi all
I have the sparkfun 10hz Venus GPS module and the serial to usb converter to record GPS data to the laptop. It works very well!
Now i want to connect that GPS data to a mobile phone. I see most phones have bluetooth and usb. I havent tried connecting the phone usb port to the gps as i believe most phone usb ports wont connect to other devices except computers? However i hear they will allow you to connect a gps device via bluetooth.
Can i get a simple bluetooth transmitter and connect it to the gps module to connect it to the phone?

Is it as simple as that? Or would the phone/bluetooth transmitter need to be programmed to connect properly.
