I am having issues with my RTK-Surveyor and I am pretty sure it is user error. An SD card is placed in the slot BTW. If I set my RTK-Surveyor to Rover Mode and I set up the antenna, I am able to get PPS and even RTK but very frequently I do not get a log of the event. I will go to one Ground Target and turn on the unit, wait for it to get PPS, and 100CM and then even RTK Fix. I will turn off the unit and move to another Ground Target and repeat. When I get back to my house and plug in the SD card, after having had done the above procedure on 5 or so targets, I will only end up with one fewer logs than I intended (or needed for that matter).
For instance today I recorded five ground targets three times each. When I got home, I only had seven logs recorded, and three of those logs didn’t include the RTK fix coordinates and I had to post process them.
Is there a minimum amount of time the unit must stay on the begin logging?
Is there a minimum amount of time required between starts to make sure the logs are recorded?
What can the user do to verify the logs are being properly recorded? I have tried toggling on and off the base mode selector and that doesn’t seem to have done the trick. I find getting into the wi-fi mode to be too tedious at every stop and there has to be a better way.
I watched the red light. THANK YOU for that info! it looks like it is set to blink once per 60 seconds. That is a great indicator. A little too infrequent for my tastes but still adequate.
I suppose that if I watch for 60 seconds and see no red light that I can assume there isn’t a log being recorded. I will keep my eyes out and report back if I have any further issues.
Have you considered just leaving the unit on and let it log continuously? You could write down the start and end times of your occupations and go find the relevant parts in the one bigger log file later.
Though wading through one large file is a lot more tedious then looking a handful of little files.

Wading through one log is pretty scary!
I was using the hardware as I was because I wasn’t confident in its abilities to log. I feel more confident now that I know what to look for.
