I can'f find my Library in Eagle 5.6

Hello,

Please can you help me to save a component library that I have built up in Eagle 5.6?

I started this library by going >FILE >NEW >LIBRARY.

The library is called “Thisone.lbr” (that’s what I called it)

I have built up some 30 components in this library, it has taken some time, and I now want to safeguard this library by putting a copy of it on a USB stick.

If I go into the Eagle 5.6 Control Panel, I can see my library there, amongst all the other Eagle supplied libraries.

But I cannot find the actual file for my library, though I can find the file for all the other libraries.

Do you know where my library might be stored?

If I go into >OPTIONS >DIRECTORIES, then it refers to “$EAGLEDIR\lbr” for the libraries entry.

-I assume this means in the file where Eagle installed itself….but I go to that place and my library is not there…though all the others are.

Please help me in finding my library?

How about just opening the library in Eagle, then File → Save As onto your USB drive?

Or do a file search?

Hello, Thankyou,

I have managed to right click on my library “Thisone.lbr” and saved it onto my USB stick.

-I noticed that the file is just 57KB in size.

This seems very small for a library contains 50 component footprints (packages) , symbols and devices.

Do you think that this is too small and therefore it has not saved properly?

You can open it and find out.

This is a fairly typical size for an Eagle library.
