info on Pyboard v1.1?

I just bought a PyBoard from SparkFun. Unfortunately, my PC doesn’t recognize it. So the debugging starts:

  1. Do you know what version firmware your PyBoards ship with? If you don’t know that, then do you know if it’s at all reasonable that your board ships with firmware that’s more than 3 years old (if it were, that would explain the issue).

  2. Your product instructions at https://learn.sparkfun.com/tutorials/py … okup-guide state that the PyBoard should not be used with Windows 10. Do you know the background for this disclaimer? Is it somehow specific to boards bought from SparkFun? After all, the official MicroPython documentation at, e.g., http://docs.micropython.org/en/latest/p … cript.html does not state any such limitation, and the micropython forums at https://forum.micropython.org have numerous examples of people using Windows 10. However, your disclaimer is certainly a red flag, since I am in fact using Windows 10.

Unfortunately we don't know what version is on these, it's entirely possible but *very, very* unlikely we have some older stock in the warehouse.

The description that we have for these was written when we first began carrying them about 4 years ago, there may have been issues with Windows 10 at that time that have since been resolved. SparkFun carries the exact same pyboards as everyone else so where you got it from should not matter.

thanks for the info. I’ll keep hunting on my end.
