Spark fun qwiic pro micro not working

Purchased a spark fun qwiic pro micro usb c.

Installed the arduino ide 2.0.3

Installed the spark fun boards using the preference tab in the arduino ide

Choose the Sparkfun - > spark fun avr boards → spark fun pro micro

Uploaded the blink sketch in the examples section of arduino ide program.

Now windows 10 will NOT recognize it when it is plugged in.

Attempted to press the reset button twice on the board and reinstall the basic sketch.

The board will disconnect before the sketch has time to finish.

Searched sparkfun website, searched the internet. Tried all the solutions offered but still stuck.

Sigh. Is there anything else I can try. The end goal was to program this for some flight sim buttons but this is becoming too involved and expensive.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks for listening. I am very frustrated.

:frowning:

In windows 10, the driver must install automatically. Did you install the board add-ons as described here?
