Jetson Nano not booting

My Jetson Nano does not appear to turn on after the initial setup. I followed the setup instructions at https://developer.nvidia.com/embedded/l … ano-devkit After completing the setup, I turned it off. After that, I have been unable to get it to boot, evidenced by no HDMI output. I tried re-imaging the SD card with no success. Any suggestions for things to try?

Make sure that the board is being powered properly (green LED). If it isn’t, double check the power supply (5V with minimum 2.5A) and the jumper that configures which power supply (barrel jack/USB) is used.

Did you potentially disable the display ouput before you shutdown the board? Otherwise, double check that the display and cable are working with another computer or device with an HDMI output.

Try another SD card. The card you are using could have potentially been corrupted and is no longer useable. Sometimes, users disconnect power as soon as the screen output is terminated (display turns black), which is before the computer has actually competed its shutdown sequence (green LED off). This can damage the SD card permanently.

However… if your power supply meets the minimum specs and is working, you have the board jumpered properly for your power supply type, the board is powered (green LED), the display and display cable are working, a new SD card was tested, and the Jetson wasn’t configured to disable the HDMI display… then I would recommend heading over to the [Nvidia Forum. They will be able to help you diagnose your board further… make sure to check out this [post first.

Additionally, you may want to check out the [Jetpack SDK documentation. I believe there was a section on “repairing/recovering” the board (i.e. similar to the Windows recovery disks).](NVIDIA JetPack SDK Documentation — JetPack 6.0 documentation)](Debug tips when you hit any issue (fail to boot/ keep reboot ...etc) - Jetson Nano - NVIDIA Developer Forums)](Jetson Nano - NVIDIA Developer Forums)

The green LED is on. I tried with two different USB sources. I also tried the DC jack (jumpered properly) with two different power sources.

I did not intentionally disable the display output. The display and cable are working fine otherwise. I tried both the HDMI and Display outputs.

I bought a new SD card for this. I imaged it fresh out of the box with no luck.

Then, I would recommend heading over to the [Nvidia Forum. They will be able to help you diagnose your board further than we are capable of.

Make sure to check out this [post first; it has information on retreiving the log dump and the recovery mode (mentioned previously). From experience, they often request the log dump or an attempt with the recovery mode for booting issues.](Debug tips when you hit any issue (fail to boot/ keep reboot ...etc) - Jetson Nano - NVIDIA Developer Forums)](Jetson Nano - NVIDIA Developer Forums)

Thanks for the suggestions. Following the instructions here seemed to solve the problem: https://developer.download.nvidia.com/e … UuY29tLyJ9
