Hi, I bought the latest Jetbot Nano kit with Jetson Nano from SparkFun (KIT-16417) and am working through the software setup.

I used the enclosed microSD and then connected a HDMI monitor (my Samsung TV), USB keyboard and USB mouse to it. I left the WiFi dongle in place. I powered it with a 5V, 2.5A RaspberryPi power supply. All I saw was the NVIDIA logo; the green power LED comes on and stays on. It didn’t boot. I tried this multiple times using the battery enclosed in the kit, always getting the same result.
I assume that my HDMI ‘monitor’ is suitable since I see the NVIDIA logo in all it’s glory.
I tried a headless boot using minicom from Linux but that did not complete either.
I am not sure what to try next. My guess is that the Jetson Nano is defective.
Please advise.
I have a hunch as well. In order to better assist you , are you able to provide a video of the behavior lasting at least 5 minutes after you initially power the Nano?
I have made a 5 min video (L1060303.MP4) showing a boot attempt. In this case, the power source was the fully charged battery pack that came with the kit. I have attempted to attach this video as a Google Drive link.
Please advise

Hi,
We are facing the exact same problem as well; has this problem been resolved? If so, how was it solved?
Regards,
Rishan
I am facing the same problem. Would you please let us know what is the solution?
Thanks for reaching out to us on this.
Make sure you are checking the compatibility of the image you are using:
v01-11 Image: Won’t fit on older non-CANVAS SD cards
Canvas SD Card: https://www.sparkfun.com/products/16498
non-Canvas SD Card: https://www.sparkfun.com/products/14833
v01-00 Image: Not compatible with the newer Jetson Nano Models (requires upgrade)
2GB Nano Kit
v2.1 Kit (with two camera connectors)
My recommendation (using a Win 10 computer):
Use SD Memory Card Formatter to format the SD card
Download the v01-10 image (Support for JetPack 4.3)
Use Win32 or the Raspberry Pi Imager to write the image to the SD card
If this doesn’t work after 2-3 tries, my guess is a corrupted SD card

Hope this helps, and happy sparking!
Tested. And confirmed that does not work.
