Jtag UPgrade "No Supported Board Found!"

I have an older JTAG programmer. I have followed all of the instructions and have set the proper boot fuses (bootrst, bootsz). However, when I cycle power and connect the serial cable to the JTAG, I get “No supported board found! AVRProg 1.37.” At this point, I have disconnect MISO, MOSI, SCK and Reset from the ISP. The JTAG only has VCC and GND attached to it.

It seems that it cannot find the AtMega16.

Any suggestions?

Hi,

if you follow the insturcions on the web 1:1 there will be no problem, you do something incorrectly if your bootloader is not enabled this way
