I need to take a 1.5 V pulse that varies between 5 Hz to 50 Hz and amplify it to 3.3-5V to use as an external trigger for a function generator. I am supplying the LMV358 with 5 V, and I see that is the max output I can get when I start adjusting the pot. That is fine - but what I notice is that when I plug in the function generator to the output, the signal goes away, I guess it is being loaded down. Any advice would be appreciated. I also have a TSH82 is that is a better option.
I am using a Rigol 1022Z function generator - I think it has a high impedance input for the TTL level signal for the external trigger. Talking to RIgol, this signal can range from ~2.5 - 20 V and should work.
