Load Cell - 200kg, Disc (TAS606) and HX711 amplifier

Hi. I have a scale with 4 TAL220 (https://www.sparkfun.com/products/13329) hooked up to HX711 amplifiers (already working perfectly). I would like to increase the capacity of the scale by substituting the 4 TAL220 by 4 TAS606 (https://www.sparkfun.com/products/13332). Going through the datasheets I noticed that the rated output of the TAS606 is 1.5±0.5mV/V versus the rated output of 1.0±0.15mV/V of the TAL220. Will the difference in rated output have any impact on how the TAS606 work with the HX711 amplifier? Or should just connecting the wires and calibrating be enough to have the TAS606 up and running? thank you!

In my head, it should work…though the scaling/calibration might need to be adjusted. You are unlikely to break anything trying, so I’d say just hook them up and see how it goes (report back to help others if you’d like!)

All things equal, a higher millivolt per volt rating can give you higher resolution because there’s more signal to measure for a given load. However, the difference between 1 & 1.5 probably isn’t going to be significant and, with the change in capacity, not likely to be a factor at all.
