Looping on Tsunami without trigger

I am working with a Tsunami board, in mono configuration, operating stand-alone (no controller). It sounds great!

I have four tracks that I want to loop continuously, starting when the board is powered up. The tracks loop fine once triggered but I have not found any way to have them start without an external trigger.

Thanks,

-Mac

Hi Mac.

Something needs to tell the Tsunami you want to play tracks. The easiest way to do this is to solder some [pin headers on the trigger inputs, then place some [shorting blocks on the 4 triggers you want to activate.

That allows you to quickly install and remove jumpers on the trigger pins, or allows you to latter connect [wires that have female sockets on them for externally connected buttons.

You could just use a piece of wire to short the pads on the board too, but going with the headers and shorting blocks allows you the flexibility of changing things later on without desoldering if your project changes.](Jumper Wires Premium 12" F/F Pack of 10 - PRT-09389 - SparkFun Electronics)](Jumper - 2 Pin - PRT-09044 - SparkFun Electronics)](Break Away Headers - Straight - PRT-00116 - SparkFun Electronics)

Thanks for the quick response, but just jumpering the trigger inputs with the EDGE trigger type won’t work as there needs to be a state change (an edge) to produce a trigger.

It turns out that using a Contact Closure, Level trigger, with Invert checked so it is always invoked, works. Although the LOOP checkbox is greyed out for a LEVEL trigger, the sound file does loop perfectly as long as the player is powered.

Problem solved.

Cheers,
