Can anyone help with this error? I used the usb chip provided but I only see internal memory on the web interface on my iPhone and I’m unable to mount and/or format the drive.

Are there multiple COM ports that appear when you plug it in?

Which SparkFun X5 product do you have? Both require a microSD card - formatted with FAT32:
