MSP430F1XX external crystal

Hi,

My question is about an external crystal: is it possible to use a 8Mhz crystal with the MSP430F1XX operating at 3V? I know that the internal oscillator can’t go that high, but I find confusing information about external crystal in the datasheet.

I think that 8 MHZ is OK at > 2.8 V.

It’s supposed to be 8Mhz @ 3.6V, I’ve tried 8 Mhz at 3V and 3.3V, below some parts start to fail, I’ve run some handpicked 169s at 10Mhz 3.6V.
