Newbie / JTAG-TINY to USB with IAR embedded workbench

Hi,

I am trying very hard to connect the OLIMEX MSP430-169LCD develolpment board to the USB port of my ACER TravelMate C312XMi (using XP).

I have installed the drivers (according to one of the posts in this forum):

  • FTD2XX.dll

  • MSP430.dll

  • SiUSBXp.dll

but the hardware wizzard says that the drivers are not correct.

Could somebody please let me know a link or a source where I can find help?

Also, in the IAR embedded workbench I am not sure what to tick (either J-link or TI-USB???)

At “debugger” I have ticked “FET Debugger”.

why don’t you read what to do from the how to install .txt in our MSP430-JTAG-TINY zip with the drivers?

tip: the new EW-MSP430 have Olimex JTAG option to select.

otherwise on the old EW-MSP430 you have to use TI USB-FET as written on our web
