No video output from Raspberry Pi 5

I got the Raspberry Pi 5 basic kit and I’ve no video output. Actually, I did get a video output on one or two reboots. But not recently. I’ve tried to reboot at least 20 times.

I think the micro HDMI to HDMI cable is too heavy and does not sit snugly in the port. My usb-c cable sits perfectly in the power port.

I’ve tried various things on the internet such as setting a hdmi_safe, hdmi_mode, etc in config.txt. All things mentioned here: https://forums.raspberrypi.com/viewtopic.php?t=34061 and here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SbwedsfovcM.

Is there anything else I can try?

I don’t have any other micro HDMI to HDMI cable but did try on 2 monitors and 1 TV.

I think you really need to try a different cable first. Once you rule out a bad cable it’s probably an issue with the pi.

Yeah, it was the hdmi cable. Not a lot of micro hdmi to hdmi cables out there.

Glad you got it figured out!
You can never have too many cables laying around.
