Hi,

I am NOT getting 5V TTL logic from my Altair 8800c computer through the SparkFun RS232 Shifter - SMD.

The output from my Altair 8800c computer on the RS-232 cable:

My problem is I need real 5V TTL level signals to control other TTL serial IN devices like the; Micro Maestro 6-Channel USB Servo Controller https://www.pololu.com/product/1350

Are you powering the shifter pcb with 5 volts?

Hi,

I’ve used a 9v to the Maestro 6 (5V-16V) input, and I’ve used a bench power supply set at 5V and 10A … No matter, the output is still not a full 5V TTL level signal.
