I know this has already been covered at least once, but I think it would be nice if you guys could give better order update notices.
My boards are on panel 1245, which was sent out for “Processing” on the 24th of January. It’s been over 30 days (23 business days as of today) Since it was processing, and over the last week and a half, I’ve noticed panels 1254,1255, and today 1259 shipped. I can appreciate that sometimes panels do ship out of order, but at least 3 sequential orders being before 1245-1250? This feels like my bank.
Is there any chance in the future you could add further processing steps, such as “printed”, “returning from factory”, “recevied”, “waiting to ship”, etc? I was fine with 21 days or so, but over a month is a little rediculous to wait, I would’ve gone with another vendor and paid more to get the boards quicker had I known it would take this long.
Yes.i have the same problem as Evanrich says,i have the order placed on 22 January with panel number 1248 and is still Processing. The monitor status on the website says that last panel shipped was 1289 on 3 March(today) and mine is still processing. Is there any problem with the boards or can we please have an ETA for this? I would gladly change the manufacturer if i can go back 1 month!!!
I am having the same issue. My PCB on Panel 1270 is still “Processing” while Panel 1289 was shipped a couple of days ago. Thus far, an email to BatchPCB support has gone unanswered. I was going to order another PCB, but I am thinking I will take my business elsewhere.
Sorry for the confusion guys, panels do ship out of order. The Chinese New Year more specifically messed things up (as far as organization of panels) in concerned. Some panels went out way before others should have. This is not normal, but now that it is behind us, things should be running a little bit more smoothly and in order. If you have any questions email us at support@batchpcb.com
Thanks for the reply. I had read that some do ship out of order, but mine was like 20 something panels before the one that “last shipped” so i thought that might be off or something (2 or 2 off I could understand). I ended up actually receiving my boards about 3 days after i posted this, so they DO arrive
I still think that maybe one or two new order status messages might help new customers or people trying to track their order…I propose a “returning from plant” and “board received, awaiting shipment” status be added, if possible.
FWIW, I received my boards from BPCB yesterday (panel 1297) and though I have yet to construct one, they look great. The drill registration, soldermask, silkscreen, solder resists, board routing etc all appear top-notch.
As an added bonus, BPCB sent me four of these prototypes, not the two I ordered and did not charge me extra. That’s very cool.
@blackfin: I forgot to mention that. I ordered 2, got 4. That fact alone convinced me to give BatchPCB another try. I had a few problems with mine however, namely there was some jacked up soldermask on two of the boards, almost as if someone spilled it on the board or something. It didn’t cover anything vital, just have green lines on two of the boards. I manually e-tested them and they all look to be ok, this more than makes up for the long shipping/transit times in my book, getting free stuff
Think I’ll be hanging around a little longer. Thanks BatchPCB.
