I was so looking forward to using the 2 sets of lights I ordered. When they arrived, I discovered the tagged connector was opposite of every other led strip I had on hand. A trip to the local LED store did not produce a matching connector, so I cut and resoldered the connectors to be the same as my other led strips. Unfortunately I reversed the +5v/Ground polarity and seem to have killed the strip. I was more careful swapping connectors on the second strip, but still have not gotten it to respond, sending neopixel commands.
D’oh! I’ve fried a few things myself 
I am trying to figure out what to do next.
Searching the internet, I have not found anything similar.

Are these custom/ exclusively made for Sparkfun?

Is the batch from which my 2 were shipped a fluke with reversed connectors, or is that the intended assembly of the lights?
