questions about drc bot output

Hi,

I think there may be problems with my gerber files, and I could use some help interpreting the images I get from the drc bot.

My design passes DRC, but the bottom copper image looks incorrect.

Some of the pads which should have thermal relief seem to be merged into the ground plane.

The image from the drc bot is here: http://emolson.net/bot.png

and an image of the gerber from viewmate is here: http://emolson.net/pcb_bottom.pdf

Has anyone seen this problem before?

Also, the picture showing top copper, solder mask and silkscreen doesn’t show any holes in the board - does this mean that something is wrong with my drill file?

thanks,

Eben Olson

Eben,

I’m not sure about the bottom…it does look like a problem to me.

Maybe David can chime in here to let you know for sure.

The total png file shows holes in mine…but not via holes. If the board just has a regular drill hole…this shows up fine in the file I recieve.

But my vias always show to be filled.

I don’t know if this helps,

James L

Hi James,

my total png file (http://emolson.net/4507_lg.png) doesn’t show any holes at all,

so I guess there’s something wrong with my drill file as well.

thanks for the help.
