My apologies if this is answered elsewhere, I tried searching, but didn’t find anything.
I’ve submitted two jobs, which passed DRC, but when I look at the image of the top side (Silk,Soldermask,Top copper) , there’s no holes. More specifically, there’s no holes in pads or vias, I have mounting holes that show up just fine. The closest I came was this image http://emolson.net/4507_lg.png referenced from this post viewtopic.php?t=7388. Is this a normal result from the DRC bot?
My designs look fine in a gerber viewer, and while this service is the best PCB deal ever, I’m still a little hesitant to order before clearing this up.
PCB manufacturers don’t like Gerbers with drill holes, and either remove them or reject the files.

I think I’m not understanding this well. I was under the impression that holes were allowed here, from 20 to 500 mils. And the DRC bot did accept the design. I think I’m more wondering if it’s a rendering issue with the image I received, or if for some reason, these boards wouldn’t have the holes for components drilled if I ordered them.
The holes are defined in the Excellon drill file.

Hi,
The bot does not render drill holes.
Any holes that appear, are actually just areas that are not drawn in any layer.
