Hi there,
I was just curious what the temperature ratings are for the JST connectors used in all the Qwiic cables. I couldn’t find this information on any of the datasheets.
Cheers,
Adam

Hi Adam.
Unfortunately we don’t have data for that, but they should be good to at least 120 degrees Fahrenheit, possibly more. You’d have to test one at various temperatures to know for sure.
Thanks Chris,
I did a bit more digging and found a JST SH data sheet on the [Qwiic JST Connector - SMD 4-pin product page. Can I assume that all the Qwiic cables are making use of these certified connectors? If so, the data sheet it lists the temperature rating as -25°C to 85°C (-13°F to 185°F).

Hi Adam.
I don’t know for sure, but I do not think our cables use JST branded connectors. (These are made for us by a third party to keep the price low and likely don’t use official JST branded connectors.)
While the mechanical data is correct in the data sheet, thermal data is unverified and may not be correct for our product. The only thing I can suggest is to test them at the temperature you intend to use them at and see how they work for you.
If you’re looking for cables that have genuine JST made connectors on them, the JST company [can do those for you.](http://www.jst.com/home26.html)
