Raspberry Pi 5 - solid red light, no boot

I am pulling my hair out with this new raspberry pi 5!!

Out of the box, it won’t boot. I am getting power to it, but no matter what OS I try, it won’t boot. I have changed SD cards, I have tried the boot file to get the green screen, and nothing.

I know it’s my raspberry pi 5 that’s the issue, as my husband also purchased a raspberry pi 5 through SparkFun, and his will boot no problem. If I take that exact same sd card that is used to boot his pi, and try it with mine, no dice.

@sparkfun… how can I get another one, because right now, this is a very expensive paper weight. :cry:
