RN-XV dead on arrival

I bought a second RN-XV (with U.FL connector this time).

Connected to XBee Explorer and opened CoolTerm, exactly as I did with my first RN-XV.

In the terminal window I get nothing, nor can I force it in the command mode (with $$$).

Also, the red (bottom, D3) LED is on all the time as soon as I power it.

Have any idea how to reset it?

Is it a faulty module?

I have exactly the same issue. Everything ok with rn-xv but the rn-xv-u is dead and the D1 is flashing green and the D3 red. Did you solve it?
