I purchased the Sparkfun Surveyor kit and have been attempting to get it working with SW Maps with RTCM corrections. I currently am having issues receiving data from the Surveyor when connected with bluetooth, so I attempted to connect to my android device via USB-C. When I connect through the config/ublox port I am able to get readings to the expected 30cm accuracy. However, when I link my NTRIP caster (I’m using skylark), it says the NTRIP caster is connected, however the accuracy never improves and the dot on the map never turns green as the instructions indicate should happen. I tried plugging into the config/esp32 port instead of the config/ublox port, but when I do that I do not get any gps readings. Am I doing something wrong when connecting my NTRIP caster? I’m not sure why I am not getting the improved accuracy that I would expect from RTCM corrections.
That all should work, but I haven’t used a direct USB C connection with NTRIP corrections. I’m not certain SW Maps passes them over a wired connection (I assume so, but I don’t know for sure).
Where are you located? Skylark is only applicable to select geographic areas:

I am currently in Atlanta, GA and plan to only use the RTCM corrections within the contiguous US region. I have successfully gotten connection via bluetooth to work, however I am not receiving any accuracy improvements when connecting the NTRIP caster. I confirmed that the android device is connected to the internet (am successfully able to view webpages on the browser). I have updated the Surveyor firmware to be up to date (currently on version 2.3). When I just connect via SW Maps to the surveyor (with no NTRIP caster connected) I receive an accuracy of about 200mm. When I connect the NTRIP caster, the connection seems successful, however I do not recieve any accuracy improvements (I waited 5 minutes after connection to see if any improvements occured and I was still getting the same accuracy as before connecting NTRIP). All measurements were taken on the rooftop of a parking garage (4 stories up) under a partially cloudy sky. I have included some screen shots to show what I was viewing. Please let me know what could be going on and/or what could be done to get to the advertised 20mm accuracy.
It’s clear that Bluetooth is getting data up to your phone, but RTCM is not getting down from your phone to the unit for some reason. The Bluetooth: Online will confirm the physical connections are in place within the unit.
Thank you! checking the box “send Nmea GGA to Ntrip CASTER” worked and I am now getting centimeter precision. I was originally confused by this as the instructions (https://docs.sparkfun.com/SparkFun_RTK_ … e/#sw-maps) show an image of connecting to an example ntrip caster without that box checked. Thanks for clearing it up, everything is working correctly now
