Hello,
I’m trying to hook up my RTK Surveyor to an RTK correction feed provided via Bluetooth to my phone but running into some difficulties. Using the SW Maps app (v2.9.5.1) on my phone (Android v13), I’m able to connect to both the Surveyor and local NTRIP server. However, despite connecting to the Surveyor via Bluetooth, and my local NTRIP server via cellular, I was unable to get the Surveyor to use RTK corrections casted by my Bluetooth connection to it. By that I mean that I’m not seeing any LED or ESP32 console activity from the Surveyor indicating that any NTRIP connection was established w/ my phone. Have been following the Hookup Guide and Connecting Bluetooth manuals, but no luck for this NTRIP casting portion.
Any support here would be really appreciated!
Thank You,
David
Have you run through this section too? https://docs.sparkfun.com/SparkFun_RTK_ … transport/ I would start over and re-enter credentials/addresses and the like
Do you happen to have another device (laptop, other phone) to test it with?
Thank you for the reply. Just read over the article and I am able to connect to the remote NTRIP server via cellular connection as described, but my transfer rates are between 0 - 4 Bytes/s; nowhere near the ~530B/s referenced in the article. Wondering if this could be a limitation of my local NTRIP station, so I’ll try other mounting points instead. Alternatively, I’m wondering if it’s a limitation of the Android BT settings on my phone?
Would I need to modify the switch state of Bluetooth Broadcast and/or Serial 1 Connection for this application?
Thanks Again!
Appears my issue was with the particular NTRIP station that I was connected to. Once connecting to another local station, I was able to see a higher transfer rate for my phone’s NTRIP casting to my surveyor, and subsequently get an RTK Float fix status reported by my surveyor. Thanks for the support all!
I am actually having the same issue, and wondering specifically how you fixed it please?
Once I get the creds input and connect, it does but then drops and seems very unstable, never gets an RTK fix actually. I’m using Skylark and have also tried the Skylark RTK.

Hey Ryan, I just ended up connecting to another NTRIP station mounting point in my area and I was good to go w/ higher transfer rates and an RTK Float fix status soon after (maybe 10 - 20s). You may want to try other NTRIP mounting points in your area.
It seems to help having a profile w/o a wifi connection. That seems to help, or at least make it clear where the correction is coming from.
