I have been looking at the RTK Facet L-Band to document evidence at vehicle crash sites. How long (average) does it take to get a GPS fix and get the data recorded in SW Maps? Thanks for any help or advice. I am a newbie when it comes to this technology.
Seconds to minutes, depending on how recently it had a fix, the weather, etc…
Our hookup guide https://docs.sparkfun.com/SparkFun_RTK_Firmware/intro/ has the general Quick Start steps. Expect maybe 15 minutes to get everything setup the first time, and then just a few minutes each time you take it in-the-field (because the settings/pairings are ready)
