Hi I purchased the RTK Surveyor and I want link the module to another sparkfun RTK board for full RTK operation. I purchased the Holybro Radio Telemetry unit (915 MHz) I expected to connect the surveyor unit to the telemetry unit using the included 4-position JST-GH connectors: however, the telemetry unit has a 6 position jst-gh connector. I think the extra two positions supply power. What do I do now? Did I buy the wrong unit from Sparkfun? Thanks for your help.
The RTK Surveyor should have come with the appropriate 4 pin to 6 pin cable to connect the Holybro radio. If you’re looking for a cable to connect the remote radio to the remote GPS receiver, you’d need to make one out of one of the two cables that come with the radios. The pinout for the radio should be printed on the case of the radio but if for some chance it’s not, the picture below shows it.
