Solar Panel and Battery Babysitter

Hi there,

I’m using a Sparkfun Battery Babysistter with a Particle Photon.

Everything works like a charm and I use and USB cable to charge the battery.

Now I want to recharge the battery, through Battery Babysitter, using a solar panel. Is this possible?

Can I connect a solar panel to Battery Babysitter Vin?

Hi Federico.

You will need a 5 volt regulator between the solar panel and Battery Babysitter, but once you have a regulated 5 volt supply coming from the solar panel, you should be good to go.

Should I use a diode ( on the Vcc wire) between the solar panel and the voltage regulator?

I don’t see why that would be necessary.
