Sparkfun ESP32 Thing Plus Enable Pin connected?

At the moment we are in the middle of a project where we are testing with ESP32 feather boards. We are using the Adafruit ESP32 HUZZAH (PRODUCT ID: 3405) and the Sparkfun ESP32 Thing Plus (PRODUCT ID: WRL-15663). During testing with the ENABLE pins of the two boards we ran into some problems and we discovered (possible) differences between the Adafruit and the Sparkfun version of the ESP32. We have examined both schematics of both the Adafruit ESP32 and Sparkfun ESP32 and indeed there appears to be a difference regarding the voltage regulator-part of the schematics.

Hence the following question: is it correct that the ENABLE pin is connected with the Adafruit version and that this is not the case with the Sparkfun version?

We are looking forward to your reply!

Hi Robin.

For some reason the net isn’t showing up on the schematic, but the EN pad on the board does connect to the enable pin on the 3.3 volt voltage regulator. By default EN is pulled high to VIN with a 100K resistor. Pulling EN low will shut down the 3.3 volt supply to the rest of the board.
