SparkFun ESP32 Thing Power Control Shield DEV-14155 Current Sense Issues

I have a question about the Sparkfun ESP32 Thing Power Control Shield. We ordered some and tested the driver to do motor control and it worked fine. However, upon reading the built-in current sense feedback, we found the readings a little too noisy and inaccurate. Upon running the motors at a constant 250mA, the readings were fluctuating between 0mA to 66mA. Even if the conversion factor is wrong, this fluctuation is quite worrisome. Is there any feedback you can provide with regards to this? We tried the example code on the Sparkfun page as well and the readings were still unstable.

My best guess at the noise, is that motor are an inductive load… therefore, you will see spikes in the current reading.

Information about your setup, code, and the output you are seeing would helpful in troubleshooting the issue. (*Pics would be awesome!)
