SparkFun Qwiic Pocket Development Board - ESP32-H2 Version?

I’ve been experimenting with nearly all ESP32-C6 and H2 boards, except the SparkFun boards.

What I have discovered is that the H2 boards use about half the power of C6 in deep sleep, when active and not sending Zigbee, and when sending Zigbee. This makes a big difference in battery life for a battery-powered sensor.

An H2 version of the SparkFun Qwiic Pocket Development Board would be perfect for Zigbee and Thread devices

The H2 is supported by the Espressif Arduino Zigbee library.

The H2 module is a close drop-in to the C6, and it looks like the board support both C6 and H2 variants with 0 Ohm populate options

BTW, when will the SparkFun Qwiic Pocket Development Board be back in stock?

We don’t currently have plans for an H2 version….but it is now added to our list of potential product roadmaps

Some good news is that our designs are open-source and freely modifiable if you want to try a DIY one

I am uncertain about potential restock timeline for the regular C6, but you can sign up for our newsletter to stay abreast!
