SparkFun RTK Express – Antenna Port Detached + No Response from Support

Hey everyone,

Just wondering if anyone else has had issues with SparkFun support or the RTK Express unit.

I got one not too long ago, and after just some light use, the antenna port completely came off the board. It looks like it wasn’t soldered well or maybe just not designed to handle much stress — which is surprising for something meant to be used out in the field.

I emailed SparkFun support with pictures and details over a week ago and haven’t heard anything back. I followed up, still nothing.

Has anyone else run into this kind of problem? Did support ever get back to you, or did you find another fix?

Trying to figure out if I just got unlucky or if this is happening to others too. Appreciate any input!

The only case I have for you in our CRM is from early March where I confirmed that this issue was resolved and that credit was applied for the unit.

Is this a second unit with the same issue or the same unit we had already given credit for?

Please confirm. Once we obtain additional information we can look into how to best proceed forward.

Yes, this is a separate issue that was sent to tech support on May 27. I followed up twice via email, but I haven’t received any response.
