Sparkfun RTK Facet (v3.7): OTA firmware update to v3.8 did not work

Hello

I just wanted to install firmware 3.8 on my RTK Facet - over-the-air.

Unfortunately I can’t confirm that it worked:

  1. When I clicked “Update Firmware”, after a short while the message appeared that the device was resetting. Then nothing happened anymore.

  2. I turned the device off and on again, it started the old FW v3.7. Then activated the config mode again and clicked “Update Firmware” again, then nothing happened at all.

  3. I thought to myself, then I would upload the FW file via “Upload Firmware” and clicked on it. Then nothing happened, not asking to select a file to upload.

So I connected the device serially like before: There was no new FW file to be found on the SD card.

So I updated everything via serial connection, like I always do…

Sorry about that! v3.6/3.7 had a bug that disabled OTA. Please see issue: https://github.com/sparkfun/SparkFun_RT … issues/602
