Would anyone else like to see a small, but versatile, DC power supply kit offered on SFE? I’m a big fan of the breadboard unit (which can output 3.3 or 5V with a wide range of inputs), but I would like to see a small bench-top unit that can take wall AC and output an adjustable DC voltage (maybe up to 12V at 1A?). I can’t be the first to suggest this, right?
Now, I’ve seen some cheap power supplies over at MPJA.com that go for less than $20 and are all through-hole parts, so I bet this could be done. I’d certainly be willing to pay upwards of $50 for a useful kit like this.
Thoughts?
