I have here several OpenLog devices, and a now two year old thread confirms that they would work with any 3.3v Arduino devices. But I normally work at 5v levels as with original TTL logic. Suggestions please for enabling these devices to work there.
You need to match the 5V and 3.3V logic levels on TX and RX. This bidirectional logic level shifter is ideal: https://www.sparkfun.com/products/12009
