Does the SparkFun Quadband GNSS RTK with Heading Breakout - LG580P have power on the SMA connectors to power active antennas?
The data sheet seems to indicate that the antennas need to be powered separately and I’m not sure where to get antennas like that.
Hi @SCIbok ,
Welcome!
Both SMA connectors provide 3.3V power for active antennas. There is a 10 Ohm resistor in each circuit to protect against cable shorts. If your antenna is drawing say 20mA, the voltage it gets is around 3.1V. We use the same circuit on many many GNSS boards. It works well - with all the antennas we have tested.
I hope this helps,
Paul
