WAV Trigger - Help with Basic Troubleshooting

Hi,

I recently bought my first WAV Trigger. I put my first few WAV files on to the USB card, connected the card, plugged in the power, plugged in some headphones. I tried to short Trigger 1 to ground as described in the user guide, but no luck. The headphones are working. The power is running. I just can’t get the track to play.

User guide says: “Using a stripped piece of wire, connect the via for T1 with the via for GND (no soldering necessary). This shorts trigger 1 to ground, causing track 001 to play.”

Honestly, I’m so new to this, I’m already at a loss. What can I do to troubleshoot?

I’d start by formatting your SD card and trying some known good WAV files just to make sure the board is working.
