WavTrigger Plays file only with onboard button

I just got a WavTrigger, which I’m now powering with the barrel jack (12v 2A).

The card is in RUN mode.

I formatted a 4GB SD card according to specs and used Audacity to make a WAV file with no metadata.

Output is to powered speaker for now.

Power is cycled after card is inserted.

File is named 1000.wav

When I push the button on the board, the file plays. When I ground the trigger nothing happens. (I understand that the triggers are the inboard pins; the outboard pins are ground.)

I can’t figure out what I’m doing wrong.

Try renaming the file 001.wav, or 001-example.wav or similar https://learn.sparkfun.com/tutorials/wa … #operation

What are you using to connect the trigger to the GND? Usually regular stranded wire is enough
